How do you prevent motorist from following dump trucks into the work space? We have gathered "best practices" from across the United States and will present them during this informative class that every construction manger and DOT inspector should attend!

Engaging Law Enforcement in Work Zones
Recent federal regulations require state DOTs to create permanent working relationships with state police (and other municipalities) to facilitate use of law enforcement personnel in roadway construction work zones. What exactly does the new law require? How will this impact DOT personnel and construction contractors? This session is important for everyone who uses police to help promote safety driving through work zones.

3:30 - 5 p.m.

Preventing Falls in Work Zones and Construction Sites
Join us for a "hands-on" workshop and demonstration to learn the latest on fall prevention and protection. Falls are a leading cause of death and injury in construction --- and roadway construction is not exempt. Manufactures of new and innovative products will be on-hand to show you how you can not only prevent falls, but improve productivity at the same time.
